Are Your Vitamins Really Helping?

I recently ran across a very inspirational post from HealthNut Wannabee Mom about the progress she’s made in her healthy eating and supplement program. If you want to start an anti aging program, it will have to start with good nutrition and a quality multivitamin.
But is your multivitamin doing you more harm than good? Many of the over-the-counter brands contain synthetic ingredients that aren’t being absorbed by the body. Hence, the saying, “Americans have the most expensive pee on the planet”.
Now there’s a way to check the ingredients of the vitamins you take.

The vitamins recommended are Whole Foods Vitamins, meaning that they are made by taking a nutrient-rich plant like broccoli, removing the water and fiber, making it a powder, then encapsulating it or pressing it into tablets. All the nutrients in the plant remain intact, including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes and other nutrients, many of which are still unknown to research.
Kind of makes sense, doesn’t it?
They have two different POPs vitamins – one made mostly from vegetables and the other made mostly from fruits.
I was lucky, in that my vitamins passed the test. I’ve been taking Purity’s Perfect Multi for several years now, with great results, but I’m certainly going to check into the Whole Foods option. The price is about the same.
If you’ve been sitting on the fence about taking a multivitamin, consider the Whole Foods Vitamins. You won’t just be buying “expensive pee”.
